Colorado School of Iyengar Yoga offers two types of workshops for you to deepen your practice. About four times each year we invite nationally recognized senior Iyengar teachers to conduct multi-session weekend workshops. We also regularly offer single session workshops on special topics. Pre-registration is recommended to reserve your space. Please read each workshop listing for location and details for pricing, discounts, required number of students, etc.

Understanding and Building "Core" Strength ... without Gimmicks!

You've seen and heard the hype that "ONLY" Pilates can strengthen your center... no, wait! "ONLY" this "as seen on TV" machine can! Well, it's just not true!! What is a "core" anyway? It's simply YOUR CENTER- the place from which all movement emanates. It includes your abs, side abs, lower and middle back. A strong center makes movement easier and safer, which is a particular advantage here in Colorado where we love our active sports! Might help those jeans fit better, too!


Melody will show you a myriad of yogasanas and simple exercises that you can build into any routine.

General Information

Pre-registration for the workshops listed above is recommended. (Pre-registration for regular classes is not necessary, except for the Fundamentals classes.) Please don't eat a heavy meal before a workshop; come with an empty or nearly empty stomach. Wear non-restrictive clothing such as T-shirt and shorts or a leotard and tights that do not cover feet. A dressing room is available. Please do come with a clean body (feet too!) and no fragrances.
